Who else caught that Olivia’s first child with that gypsy boy was named Magdalena and Nicolae’s grandma(?) from that one flashback with the Umpir Nazi’s was named Magdalena.
Coincidence? I think not! I hope they elaborate this next season or someone tell’s me I’m wrong.

I was close! Thanks for clearing it up. I do hope it somehow comes up though. It certainly sounds interesting. Do you think they were connected?

I suspect so. Fairly certain the Magdalena who left the scars on Nicholae’s face was Olivia’s child. As to what the connection is between all of it, well … I guess we’ll find out in the next book, hm?

It was such a small clue though, in the show. I’m fairly certain the two things weren’t even in the same episode. I wonder what else I could have missed.

Ah, but sometimes, the most subtle of things is the most important.

Like when Peter says that with his kind, you have to cut off the head after they die … or Clementine mentions that you have to remove the head while they’re turning. It’s very important. I don’t know if you’ve finished the season yet, but let’s just say that something happens in the final episode that, if you were paying attention to the head removal bit earlier, will make you go “oh shit.”

I did finish the season and I remembered the head removal and I was really excited to see that last scene. Continuity is beautiful.
