Let’s not forget, Rush Limbaugh has a history of making vile remarks
In 1993, Limbaugh had a syndicated TV show. On one episode, he asked, “Did you know the White House now has a dog?” He then flashed a picture of Chelsea Clinton. She was 13 years-old at the time.
In 2004, Limbaugh accused Michael J. Fox of “exaggerating” the effects of his Parkinson’s disease, stating this “shaking around… is purely an act.”
In 2007, he played a song on his show titled “Barack the Magic Negro,” the premise of the song being that then-Sen. Obama was not “a real black guy from the streets” but rather a “magical Negro” who turns up to solve the problems of white people. He played this song several times during the 2008 campaign, despite widespread criticism.
Later in 2007, Limbaugh referred to actively-serving men and women in uniform who disagree with the War on Terrorism as “phony soldiers.” This coming from a man who has never served a day in his life in uniform.
In 2011, Limbaugh accused Pres. Obama of “sending troops to Sudan to kill Christians,” that is a roving band of Christians who were kidnapping schools of children and forcing them into their army. Even after the atrocities were brought to light, Limbaugh stood by his remarks.
I love how the advertisers who pulled out over the latest shitstorm acted surprised that Limbaugh would say something like that. He’s Rush Limbaugh, saying insane, offensive shit is his wheelhouse, and you knew that when you signed up to advertise on his show.
I’ve got a plan all of us create gigantic companies and offer to advertise during his show, all of us, and we offer a lot of money then make all of our commercials mash-ups of all the stupid and offensive things he has done/said. Then when he gets mad take out all our money, move to another show and continue showing our mashup commercials to piss him off.
